LORO PIANA Founded in 1927, Loro Piana is synonymous with the pinnacle of Italian luxury wool and cashmere. Still part-owned by the family today, we work with the mill to source fine fabrics, particularly their cashmere, for our Made to Measure customers.
VITALE BARBERIS CANONICO Another Italian mill, founded all the way back in 1663, they have remained a family-run business for 13 generations. Their specialty is pure-wool flannel and mohair – as well as light summer fabrics. ‘Barberis’ as they are affectionately known, are a mark of great taste and quality.
We don’t do things half-measure (so to speak) and our stores are equipped with special workshops, manned by skilled Master Tailors. One of those is Joel Valdez from our Washington, D.C. boutique. Over many decades, Joel has built a reputation for his craft – supplying our customers with our expertly-cut, Made to Measure tailoring service. Here, he talks us through what he’s learned, and what you can expect for your wedding suit!

“My father was a tailor, so I’ve been immersed in it all my life. When I was younger, I studied aircraft maintenance with a look into design (I got my pilot’s license at 19). Circumstances returned me back to my father’s workshop, where he passed down his wisdom.”

Paul Stuart’s guide for wedding style.
Whether you’re walking the aisle yourself or are a fully-booked guest for wedding season (lucky you) it can be hard knowing what to wear. To help you start, here are three of our favorite wedding looks.
Or any city, for that matter. If you’re getting married in town, you’ll
want to wear chic tailoring, but not at the cost of your comfort.
Patterns and checks are great options here, in denim or linen. And
since the party’s likely to last long after, enjoy some of our luxurious
silk accessories too.
Rolling green hills. A golf course nearby. The country air. It’s
hard to top a traditional country wedding. And tradition factors
in how you dress, too. Blue (in a light wool or linen) is the
perfect tone here, paired with a tie and brown suede shoes.
Off to the beach, eh? Lucky you. Only, what to wear? Very light tailoring is perfect, as are our selection of linen shirts in a variety of colors and tones. You can also go sockless for this one in case those loafers slip off for a late-night swim.
